Thank you from the family of Dallas Jensen

Dear Patriot Guard,
Thank you. Thank you for coming today. Dallas would have been so proud to see you holding flags and giving salutes.
My husband is soldier too, it helped him to be surrounded by the Patriot Guard as we mourned our loss. The flags, those holding their hands over our hearts. We felt so respected and honored in the midst of our grief and we did not feel alone.
I was not able to thank each Guard individually but please pass along my heartfelt gratitude for your presence.
Even as we were driving away, crying and losing composure we were saluted. There was so much honor and respect....it just meant a lot.
Gratefully,
Nicole

Thank you from family of Larrie Mack

I would like to thank the patriot guard members that attended my husbands funeral Larrie Mack at Fort Snelling Cemetery. My husband and i have been members for years, and we attended funerals and we were always moved by each and every one of them. When i seen the Patriot Guards roll in for the staging it brought tears to my eyes, but this time i was on the other side mourning the loss of my husband. You all stood in formation all the way through the cold bitter morning until the last car left, and i thank each and every one of you from my heart. Thank you so much
sincerely Julie Mack

Thank you from the Bud Weber family

On behalf of the Weber family, I want to "Thank" the Patriot Guard Organization and it's members that attended Buds funeral and showed enormous dedication to the PGR mission. The Dignity, Honor, and Respect shown and  shared was tremendous.
Working with Chris Dunsmore and Dave Mude was tremendous. They are a "TRUE"
class act. My whole family of 1 brother and 8 sisters are very proud of the PGR
and what they do, and they do it well !!!   Thank You again for your quick response to this mission. It truly was a wonderful sendoff for my dad, Bud Weber.

As Always,
L.A. Weber, aka, Griz

From the Family of Dan Kantorowicz

Minnesota Patriot Guard,

I have had the honor to stand in flag lines across Minnesota with many of you for many years.  To show honor and respect to our fallen, to show respect and admiration to our soldiers leaving for duty, to witness home comings that brought tears of joy to our eyes. “You are an impressive group of patriots “ as said by one of my relatives and I agree.

But several weeks ago I was forced to be on the other side of the flag line, to experience the receiving of love and honor for my father, Dan Kantorowicz, US ARMY.  I can only say WOW……….. What an emotional event.  The great sadness of burying my father yet being so proud of his service and the honor that you showed him help the ache of his absence. He would have been so proud knowing the respect and honor that was showed that day.  I am sure his was smiling down from heaven.  I had a lot of family and friends come up to me and say they were impressed with the service for my Dad.  Several comments were made “David, what an incredible group of friends you have (referring to the Patriot Guard).  I tried to do my best at explaining what we do (MN Patriot Guard) and the emotions that every single man and woman standing in that flag line is displaying behind those sunglasses.  I am truly proud of every Patriot Guard member that has ever made it to a flag line.

In the past 8 yrs I have buried a son, my mother and now my father.  I look at this as not just a loss but also as a blessing, a blessing to have had them in my life and to know that GOD has a greater plan for us all.  Included in that plan is the Patriot Guard.  You (we) not only show respect and honor towards the deceased soldier we also show strength and love towards the surviving family.  Believe me…….this really does help.  Thank you so much for being there for my Dad’s service and for my family.  I love and respect you all.

A thank you letter from July 23, 2012 funeral for Carl Taute

Dear Patriot Guards:

We thank you all very much for your terrific display of patriotism for my father Carl Taute’s service at Fort Snelling. The patriot guard, like Old Faithful, displayed an outpouring of honor and caring for him and his tenure in the military and honor guard. It was very moving to see so many of you standing proudly with “Old Glory” high and tall serving witness and offering protection. Oh what a feeling... I am sure my father had looking down at his loved ones and the patriot guard, the military and honor guards as his body was laid to rest and my mother given his flag.

With a geyser full of thanks,

Pam and Don Egan
